Classes are canceled until further notice.
The Lethbridge Scottish Country Dance club offers general classes on Wednesday evenings , September to May, and seniors' classes on Friday mornings.
Classes are a mixture of technique, new and familiar dances and social dancing.
For the most part, classes are mixed level (basic and beginner through to experienced and advanced) where the teachers accommodate all levels of dancing experience and expertise.
Classes are held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 1818 5 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
First Wednesday of the month: Regular class from 7:00 to 9:15 PM. Newcomers' class from 7:00 to 7:45 PM and then join regular class from 7:45 to 9:15 PM.
Second Wednesday of the month: Mixed class from 7:00 to 9:15 PM. Emphasis on technique for all levels of dancer.
Third Wednesday of the month: Regular class from 7:00 to 9:15 PM. Newcomers' class from 7:00 to 7:45 PM and then join regular class from 7:45 to 9:15 PM.
Fourth Wednesday of the month: Social dance from 7:00 to 9:15 PM with a dance program distributed in advance and a mid-evening refreshment break.
In months with a fifth Wednesday, the social dance is held on that Wednesday and the fourth Wednesday is used for an extra mixed class.
Classes are held at the Lethbridge Seniors' Center at 500 11 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
Seniors' classes are held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the small gym.
No partner is required. Bring soft-soled shoes and a water bottle. Feel free to come and join us at any time.
